Library facility for alumni in South Africa

Monash South Africa Alumni may:

  • Use the library collections
  • Borrow up to 2 books for a renewable period of two weeks
  • Seek assistance
  • Photocopy library material
  • Access some of the online resources (current charges apply)
  • Alumni members wishing to borrow books be issued with a new student ID card that clearly identifies the person as an Alumnus
  • The ID card not provide the person with access to the campus (standard sign in procedures to apply as for any visitor) but that the card only allows access to Library facilities once the student has been signed in and is on campus
  • That a charge of R200 per annum be applied to any Alumnus wishing to make use of the facilities
  • When applying, that the person complete a registration form with their latest contact details to minimise theft of MSA property

Some resources which are in high demand may be available only to registered staff and students. You cannot borrow journals – only to photocopy them in the library. Some electronic resources may not be available because of license agreements terms. Use of the photocopying service will be permitted at the going rates. In order to borrow, you must register as a library user and hold a valid library membership card. Alumni membership terms of access are subject to annual review.

Membership of the MSA Library and Learning Commons is complimentary.
Membership for database access is $85. Apply directly to the external client services department or online at Aireys
